I really hate some of my friends

Especially those that are Democrats. "Ooh ooh the Republicans and the Tea Partiers are so evil" Shut the fuck up you granola eating socialist cowards.  Does it not occur to you that you are spreading your own hate everytime you open your fucking mouths and bash them?  They then turn around and do the same thing and it becomes a vicious cycle.  Glenn Beck lead a march in DC yesterday, so fucking what.  So did Al Sharpton.  And why did they do it?  Because they both have the right to.  I think both men are fucktards but they have the right to peacefully gather.  It's in the Constitution you Democratic dickweeds.  Al Sharpton has caused  a shitload of dissent and hate in this country yet I don't see any Republicans, or Tea Partiers trying to stop him from marching.
The Huffington Post has called Glenn Beck a liar while at the same time defending Al Sharpton.  Are Democrats all this fucking moronic?  Here's a memory jogger for you, Tawana Brawley, that ring any bells for you? Or how about this little tidbit? Sharpton's Biggest Lie Before you start accusing the GOP and its supporters of spreading hate, take a look at who lives in your backyard with you.

My ex wife is a rancid disease ridden piece of shit.

Here's a lesson we can all learn.  Recently a cabbie was stabbed by a man who learned he was Muslim.  It was a hate crime in the worst possible way.  Ahmed Sharif originally from Bangladesh was cut across the throat by Michael Enright, a 21-year-old film student, who is facing attempted murder and hate crimes charges in the attack.  In the aftermath of the attack, Mr. Sharif could have gone on about how horrible a country this was and made all kinds of anti-American speeches.  Instead Mr Sharif talked about the length of time he has lived in America and how he feels like he was born here.  He also expressed worry about how he can pay his bills.  As part of my good deed quest, I plan on setting up a donation link at Bloodletting for Mr. Sharif.

For my good deed for the day I showed my daughter how to make chocolate chip pancakes after that we stained a wooden box and decorated it starfish and sand dollars. In a minute I'm going to assist her with the puzzle I bought her today.

Here's a great text message all of you should send to a friend tomorrow.

Why Paris? Why?

I defended Paris Hilton when she went to jail a few years ago.  My wife got on me for it but, but in reality she was treated unfairly.  Normally I hate when Hollywood stars are given preferential treatment but in her case, she actually served a longer sentence than Joe Public would have.  I also thought I sensed sincerity in her when she said she was turning her life around.  Sadly, I was duped.  Last night the hotel heiress was arrested after the car she was driving in was pulled over and the police found marijuana and a bag of cocaine that fell from her purse.  Anyone that knows me, knows that I abhor drug use of any kind.  It is one of the few things I have a hard time forgiving.  My biological father was a drug addict and I've seen it ruin the lives of others close to me.  Drugs suck and right now so does Miss Hilton.  I'd still hit it though.

One of the greatest songs I have ever heard is "Your Ghost" by Kristen Hersh.  Please take a few minutes to listen to it.  Kristen is the stepsister of Belly front woman Tanya Donelly whom she formed the alternative band Throwing Muses with in the 80s.

Friday and Saturday were big days for me in my quest for 365 days of good deeds. On Friday I helped pledge over 1200 grains of rice through the World Food Programme.  On Saturday I registered as an organ and tissue donor in the state of Florida.

This is awesome and is taking the place of my usual T-shirt post for today.

I received my first submission for Big Boobie Girl of the day/week today.  I will feature her tomorrow.  In the meantime...

Comments and suggests always welcome.  And now submissions to join my boob collection being accepted.

Where's the customer service?

Before I get to my rant of the day I have to say what a great day this was.  I drove 2 hours to Panama City to pick up my oldest son Brandon who is moving is with us until he starts college next year in Fort Lauderdale.  Then we went shopping with the wife and his little sister India.  What a great day.

Ok rant time.  So my youngest son plays football and they have a concession stand at the field.  It is run by an old woman who looks as though she drinks a bottle of Gin a day.  She's one of those bitches that no matter how loud you say hello, she will not respond to you.  Try saying thank you and see if she even blinks.  Yesterday there was a teenage kid working the stand with her.  I'm going to assume that they are related because his people skills matched hers.  He began our transaction with a delightful "Whadda ya need?" I told him I wanted a bag of sunflower seeds and an order of nachos.  Nachos are $1.75 and Sunflower seeds are .75 (this will be important later on.).  He took my order and told his counterpart to ring me up.  He then threw the bag of seeds at me while his mustache sporting grandmother prepared the cheese for my nachos.  When I gave him a look for throwing the seeds, he asked me if the order was wrong.  I said, "No it's right, I just wasn't expecting them to be thrown at me." He didn't seem to understand that this is not a normal way to conduct a transaction.  He then had to go assist his friend with adding up my total.  After nearly two minutes of watching them attempt calculus, I finally shouted out, "It's $2.50!"  They gave me my order and I thanked them.  Tomorrow maybe I'll receive a "You're welcome".

My good deed for the day which I think is day 14 was to give a large collection of chapter books I had been planning to sell to a teacher in Arkansas who is taking over a classroom that has absolutely nothing.  If you are interested and want to help the class out, let me know and I will provide you a mailing address.

I hate the Lohans

Sorry it's been a few days since the last blog.  I was dealing with touchy modem. Yeah yeah wah wah.

Ok let's catch up on three days of good deeds.
On Monday I applied to AdoptAUSSoldier.org and registered to sponsor a deployed service member.
On Tuesday I helped build a house with HabitatForHumanity Habitat.org in Fort Walton Beach
Today I received the information for the soldier I am sponsoring and made contact with him via email.  I also began putting together a care package for him.

Lindsay Lohan is NOT talented!  I don't care how many times the news media tries to tell me what a waste of talent she is.  She's a chick with big tits who was in a bunch of B-movies.  Yeah B-movies, sorry but Freaky Friday and Mean Girls does not stand up to The Godfather or Casablanca.  She is a drug addict dipshit that is enabled by her lack of reality shitbag mother.  Speaking of this year's nominee for worst mother, apparently because the drug treatment center the golden child was forced to go to decided that she was misdiagnosed with ADD, Dina Lohan is claiming the court should be sued and Linds herself is looking for an apology.
Newsflash! You were caught with COCAINE! TWICE!

Here's a 20-something year old who fought for Lohan's freedom and the right to shove cocaine up her nose.
Spc. Christopher S. Wright, 23, of Tollesboro, Ky., died Aug. 19 in Pech, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when insurgents attacked his unit using small arms fire. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Hunter Army Air Field, Ga.
Fuck you Lindsay.

Sorry about the rant, just really hating Hollywood for some reason today.

Our Chief at the 720th, CMSgt Craig Sammons, is retiring on 2 Sept 2010.  Here's a photo from his last ever jump.

Something seems fishy

For today's good deed, I took my son Michael to Destin with me and we volunteered to help out with the Clean Coast music and arts festival.  Michael worked as a stage hand for the bands they had lined up and I worked the entrance booths collecting donations via t-shirt and bracelet sales.  It was for a good cause...I think.  Habitat for Humanity ran the volunteer portion that Michael and I participated in.  Here's where I smell something fishy going on.  First off, they were selling t-shirts for $25 and bracelets for $20.  Way over priced, especially the bracelets which were cloth and looked nice but one time use only.  Once on you, it had to be cut off.  Kinda pricey for a bracelet you may have to damage to remove.  The t-shirts should've been priced closer to $10.  In the five hours I worked, we sold seven shirts and two bracelets.  We had a stock over over 100 shirts and 500 bracelets and that was just our booth.  And we were the biggest money makers of all the booths today.  So basically thousands of dollars were spent on item that are a one time use.  I can't beleive we sold enough to make up for the cost of the items and help clean the coast.  Now here is where it gets really fishy, where is the money going? BP is paying for all the cleanup and claims for lost business.  So where is this cash going?  The other thing to make me go hmmm was the fact that they had a fully catered VIP room for the sponsors and the 30+ bands that were there.  I have to wonder how much profit that ate up?  75% of the bands did not perform because of the rain and they still got VIP treatment.  And why did the sponsors need VIP treatment?  I still consider this a good deed, because I was altruistic in my intent.  Something stinks about it though.

Over in Bloodletting we have a thread called Dracula's List.  It's like Angie's Lsit but centered on the customer service industry.  I visited a place today after my volunteer time was up and it was Dracula's List worthy.
Sugar Land is an ice cream parlor located at 34 Harbor Blvd in Destin Florida.  It is in the heart of Destin's tourist mecca and for many out of towners, this place and the service they receive might be a lasting impression they have of NW Florida. So he girl that helped me, could have been a little nicer, a little less eager to get us out the door, and a lot more polite.  Huge pet peeve of mine, is if I say thank you, I expect at the very least a "you're welcome"  You don't even have to smile. Oh well, I typically complain and no one listens.

Here's a fantastic set of boobies for your viewing pleasure!

Horrible access

My modem is messed up so I have random access over the next few days until AT&T can send us out a new one. Guess I'll pretend its the 80s and somehow get through life without the internet.

Today's good deed was supposed to be taking my son and his friend to the pool at Hurlburt Field, but they both decided to say up until 5am so maybe next week.  What I did instead was I called my grandmother to see how she was doing.  She remembers me but the memories stop sometime in the late 80s.  Everything I tell her is brand new to her after that.  She seemed very happy to learn I was in the Air Force.  Of all the good deeds I have been doing this is the only one that leaves me feeling sad afterwards.  It's also the only one that I will continually do each week.

My rant about the Bills the other day seems to have worked.  They got off their asses and crushed the Colts this past Thursday.  Sure it was only pre-season but our 1st squad smashed their 1st squad so may this season wont be all heartache.

Now that's a funny ass t-shirt!

Hey there classy lassy!

Songs that really suck

For day 10 out of 365 of my year of good deeds, I chaperoned a back to school dance at the NYSA.  It was in conjunction with "Meet the Raiders" football.  My youngest son Bryce plays receiver and linebacker for them.  He was a bit embarrassed at first that I was going to be there but he got over it fast.   Anyhoo, that was my good deed for the day.  Need to figure out what I am going to do tomorrow.

I love music, especially that which you can't hear on the radio all the time.  I do have my guilty pleasure bands like Journey and Styx, but I tend to stick mainly to alternative and goth in and around the 80s.  I do love me some good old Zeppelin and Floyd as well.   In fact I like a lot of the classic rock bands out there.  That doesn't mean I like every song I hear.  I probably hate some of what others would call the all-time greatest rock songs around, ever, in this universe.   Take for instance "The Joker" by Steve Miller, I hate that fucking song! Some people call me the space cowboy, so call me a bucket of shit.  Those lyrics irritate the hell out of me.  Another one is that damned annoying Rock On song.  Hey kid rock and roll, rock on.  What piece of shit record executive said "Hey we have a winner here!"  Anything by Beck is crap too. "Oh but Mike, Beck is so creative and talented how can you not like him?"  Ten words "Where its at, I got two turntables and a microphone"  That drivel won a fucking grammy.

Now this is why I love music.  Below is a receipt for one night of drinking by the band Iron Maiden.

Apparently Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have a sex tape that is being shopped around.  That must be the new thing in Hollywood.  Film yourself being boned then save the tape until you are no longer relevant.  Once that happens, BAM! out comes the fuck tape! Say hello to fame once again.

So since we are talking about Heidi, take a look at Miss Plastic Fantastic and those wonderful man-made chi-chis.

The Bills are starting to piss me off

I have been a Buffalo sports fan my entire life.  I remember the early jinx rumors about how we could never beat Miami.  They beat us 20 straight games 1970-1979.  We finally beat them in 1980 after 10 straight years of loses to the fish.  I had some hope during the early 80s when Joe Cribbs started racking up yardage and Joe Ferguson showed us glimpses of greatness. I suffered through the lean years before Saint Kelly arrived and brought us as close to glory as we could get.  Although it still stings, four Superbowls in a row is something no other football fan can claim.  The years since then have been miserable and I have to say it is due to shitty management. Really shitty management. A running back in the 1st round? Seriously? Wonder why they did that when everyone knows IT'S THE FUCKING OFFENSIVE LINE STUPID! And getting rid of T.O.? Again, seriously?  The only player capable of generating income for a team in desperate need of it and we pass him off.  Way to go morons!  The first pre-season game this year has depressed far earlier in the season than is normal. LET'S GO BUFFALO! LET'S GO BUFFA--Ah fuck it!

That brings me to today's good deed though.  Last week I sent my mother flowers for no reason at all and today I sent my father a nice 9" x 12" print of fans at Rich Stadium in the middle of December.  He won't get it till tomorrow so don't any of you jerks spoil the surprise.

The easiest way to lose me as a friend is to glamorize or promote drug use around me.  I really don't give a flying fuck about your theories about how it is less dangerous than cigarettes or that it is a victim-less crime.  There is a reason it's called DOPE.

I'm not very tall so basketball was never a strong sport of mine.  I felt like I could be a good player though because I knew the rules.  The most important being that you GOT five fouls.  Those babies don't carry over to the next game so you might as well use them.  I would start off with a haymaker right to the jaw. While Dr. Dribble laid on the ground wondering what just happened, I would bend over and inform him that I still had four more fouls to go.

Do ya like boobs a lot?

Here's a T-shirt I find funny.

Comments welcome and please send me good deed ideas.

Register to vote you lazy turds

I have been involved in voter registration for years.  It's not that I really give a frog's fat ass who is running for office in any particular year, I just care very deeply for our democratic process.  I also don't really care if people vote.  I do care however if people register and here is why.  Senator Umptysquat doesn't know the name of each individual person who votes for him.  He does however, know how many registered voters there are in a particular area.  So go register to vote and send a message to the politicians that you have the power to decide who is in office and who isn't. Project Vote

That brings me to my good deed for the day. I assisted someone in registering to vote today!

In addition to good deeds and boobies, I think i am going to start featuring people that inspire me and should inspire you as well.  A good friend of mine, SMSgt Frank Daily is today's inspiration.  I have known Frank for almost 4 years and have served with him at two military installations so far.  Frank has been involved with Special Operations almost his entire career and I'm pretty sure that even when he retires, Frank will maintain a ready bag and full BAO kit just in case he is called upon to jump into some austere location. But that's not why Frank is today's inspiration.  Frank has severe back pain yet he was able to speed walk 8 miles in about an hour this morning.  What did you do this morning tubby?

I told a friend today that I had a picture of Jessica Alba playing with one of my balls. Here's the proof.

Give Me Deliverance

Not really looking for deliverance, just had that old Mission UK song going through my head.

Ok going to rant a little bit today.  Recently I have seen people posting more about the proposed Mosque going up near Ground Zero.  Now believe me, I think it is a bad idea for the Mosque to go there.  I do not however, believe that they DO NOT have the right to build there.  This is America and we are Americans, we fight for these rights, we DO NOT deny them. But that is not what has me riled up.  A few people yesterday decided to post that the inauguration of the new Mosque is going to be on 9/11/11. I really hate when people don't fact check before posting online.  It takes less than 5 minutes in most cases.  The fact is this, the proposed Mosque is not even scheduled to be completed until 2013.  Ok rant #1 done.

Rant #2 -- I took my bride to the Hilton Resort and Golf Club this past weekend.  Everything was perfect! Well almost. We had to suffer through two teenage girls on a shuttle from the resort to Baytowne.  They were two of the most despicable people I have ever had the displeasure of being near.  They were talking to the shuttle driver and when he said goodbye to a girl on the shuttle, they asked him if they were dating.  He replied no, they were just friends and he knew her dad.  They then asked him if they had met in college.  A seemingly innocent question except for the fact that the two little bitches were laughing behind his back as if someone who drove a shuttle bus for a living could not have possibly ever gone to college.  They then began to regal him with a story about how the one was recently divorced after a ten year marriage. Both girls were not a day over 16.  It really was an extremely disgusting display.  Then I thought about it, their parents really need to be choked until they shit for raising those girls so horribly.  So if you know of two teenage girls that spent the weekend at the Sandestin Resort and one of them is actually pretty fucking ugly, go slap their mamas and tell them DVH sent you.

Did more work on Pakistani flood aid today. Looks as though that will be my good deed for at least the next few days. Below is a picture showing the devastation in Gilgit, Pakistan an area cut off from the rest of the country.
USAID is doing a lot with relief efforts over there. Visit their site to learn more about how you can help.

Human Nature Can Be So Disgusting

On Sunday I read an article about a young woman that had been attacked by a crowd who threw stones and bottles at her and even fireworks.  She was injured as you can imagine, facial cuts, bruises, obviously mental scaring, but she escaped alive.  Even more disgusting than the attack was the comment left online about how the skank deserved it and people actually laughing at the event..
I decided to repost the events on my Facebook page to see what the response there would be.  I left the name of the girl out though and unsurprisingly, the people who commented all were horrified by the event itself and by the response on other sites.

After about an hour, I revealed that the person that was attacked was actually reality start Tila Tequila. So here's a question, when you read the start of this blog, did you feel disgust?  Had you known the victim in this instance would your reaction have been the same?

If you are still disgusted by this event even after knowing the victim, head on over to dlisted and check out the comments by some of societies best and brightest.

For my good deed for the day, I did a few things. Work related I assisted with preparations for Pakistan flood relief. On the non-work related front, I emailed a random deployed service member and thanked them for their sacrifice.  Took me 30 seconds to do it.  I should have done more.

Caught the Comedy Central Roast of David Hasselhoff last night.  Now I get that Greg Geraldo and Lisa Lampenelli are funny and come up with some funny ass shit, but... One of the things that made the Dean Martin Roasts so hilarious is that, for starters, they chose actual stars to roast and secondly, the roasters were peers.  More than half the people up there have never even met the person they are roasting.  You want funnier roasts Comedy Central? Get all of Mel Gibson's friends to bash his ass on network TV.

Lindsay Lohan is rumored to be released as early as this weekend from rehab.  That was a fast 90 days!  I hope 90 days goes by that fast when I deploy this winter. To get a better perspective on her 90 days in hell, over 120 Us Service members died in Afghanistan protecting her right to be an asshat.

A fan sent me this and I have to say, Daaaaaaaammmmmmmnnnn!

Johnette Napolitano Interview

The following interview was originally posted to Bloodletting.org over three years ago.

Years ago when I first conceived the idea for a Vampire RPG, I knew I needed a really cool name for it. I turned to my music collection for inspiration as I have done so many times in the past. There between the Clash and the Cure was the answer I was looking for. 1990's Bloodletting by Concrete Blonde was what I chose for what would become the game you all now play.

This week I had the pleasure of interviewing Johnette Napolitano, former lead singer and bass player for Concrete Blonde. Having been a long time fan, you can imagine my thrill when she responded to my request for the interview. I want to thank her for accepting. For those of you that have never had the chance to see her perform live, you are missing one hell of a performer. As you will see in this interview, her beuty and talent are outweighed only by her own modesty.

A lot of times you will read a story about singers who learned to play an
instrument so they could accompany their voice. Which came first for you,
being a singer or playing an instrument?
- I was very small, about 5, and I think piano and singing and drawing came
up about the same time, around then.

One of the things that I have always enjoyed about listening to you is the emotion that can be heard in your voice when you sing. The song Amazing comes to mind as well as Caroline. That lack of emotion seems to be missing from today's singers. Do you have any opinion on this?
-not really. I'd have to think more about that one ...there are definitely singers I like..when I first heard Amy Winehouse sing 'I'm gonna lose my baby, so I gotta keep a bottle near'
I believed her.

If you could assemble your own dream band, who would be in it?
-hmmm. a lot of people I can't afford...I haven't played in a band format for over a year, but I do like the configuration of just my drummer, Gabriel Ramirez, and myself. we're getting together next month to work on some new ideas in that format. I really like playing with Gabriel, he's a very poetic, musical drummer...he can also slam it, very dynamic. I would like backup singers for a song or two...I would love an aerialist. I just saw some in Vegas and I want a few of those.

You've performed with and collaborated with several great musicians over
the years, is there anyone you still would like to perform with that you
haven't had the chance to yet?
-oh so many people...I just recorded a Leonard Cohen song with David J, 'Tower of Song' as a dark duet, it's very cool. I don't really seek out collaborations, the right ones find me, and I've lucked out the last few years, I've worked with some amazing artists. I hope to get a few more out of Danny (Lohner) this year, we'll see.

In music we hear countless stories about groupies and male rock stars but
little is said about the reverse. Do women in music suffer the problem of
having to deal with groupies on the same level as their male counterparts?
-I'm very good at staying under the radar, I don't have a problem with any of that, really. I'm much better at protecting myself now than I was in the old days.

As someone who has studied acting, I am always curious about where other
artists draw their creativity from. When I am preparing for a role sometimes I will draw on things in my past but to be honest with you, a lot of times the creativity comes from out of no where. When you are creating music, poetry or art, what do you draw from for your creativity?
-I'm very receptive, to say the least, and will pick things up, draw very much on the energy wherever it is I am at any given moment, which is why I'm very deliberate about where I want to be and who I spend my time with and what I spend my time doing...when I can be. I live in the desert, and right now I'm looking out at this amazing full moon, and want to do something called 'music for the moon'. the thing is about being receptive to things when they want to come to you, it's very much about being in the moment. it's interesting you should mention acting. on my solo record, 'scarred' I use a lot of voices, explore characters, writing from someone else's head. I've learned from working with other people in the last year or two how to discipline myself to finish something once I start it, I have so much stuff laying around, unfocused bursts
of creativity which is intense and great, but no good at all if I can't organize and develop it.

People are their own biggest critics. Have you ever listened to a song
you have recorded in the past and suddenly been hit with an epiphany on how you would have done it differently? Additionally, have you ever listened to something someone else recorded and thought to yourself, that's not how I would have done it?
-oh I can't listen to myself at all. I hardly ever listen to anything I do after I've done it, or it would be endless, the gnashing of teeth, the regret, the shame! and yes, I hear things all the time I would do differently, and it drives me crazy.
I'll hear something someone will send me that's almost good but they didn't tune; or the playing is good but the mix is terrible, oh yes it drives me truly mad. but then again who am I to say. But generally speaking it's pretty obvious in less than 5 minutes whether something has merit or not, but in the end it is purely a matter of taste, as is all art. You can ask 5 different producers what they'd do with me and you'd get 5 different things.

Did you ever think that a song you wrote years ago (Bloodletting) would
come to inspire an entire community of role players?
-well I would have to pass the award to Anne Rice, as at the time I was living in New Orleans and getting into her Vampire Chronicles. But it wasn't even all that: there was a whole lot of metaphor on that record.

Does your studio set up differ much from your live set up and if so how?
-oh definitely. I can use gear at home I would never take on the road, keyboards and things. all my pedals, guitars. I was always very into a minimalist approach on the road, for a lot of reasons. I have a couple computers and my own drum setup I like; you know, it's just home. I'm starting to brick the whole floor, it'll sound great.

Who were your influences musically early on?
-my parent's records, rat pack stuff, johnny cash, showtunes when I was little. AM radio and lots of stoner rock, always Hendrix. I started writing songs at 12, so the rock influence..or damage! came much later. I was in chorus when I was a kid, singing the Ave Maria in Latin and that sort of thing. I was very into harmonies. In elementary school I would hang out in the bathroom at recess, singing with a couple girls and working out choreography and vocal arrangements. I liked the way it sounded in there.

What new bands impress you or do you enjoy listening to?
-there are quite a few but I'll hear things on the radio and not be able to put a face with a name...but quite a lot. I do prefer what I can dance to. I like Maroon 5. I just downloaded 'electric feel' by mgmt. I just heard a new Jack White thing that was great, he's like his generation's Nick Cave, I think. This long, Southern Goth murder story. I listen to radio all morning when I'm working and hear a lot I like, actually.

Are you currently working on any projects?
-trying to organize another 'Sketchbook' record, a little art project I try to do once a year through CDBaby...a project called Uterine Kin that's on MySpace now, just being built up, my friend Bernadette Colomine and I. It's French/English and very cool stuff, I think. I've known Bernadette a long time. new tracks with Will Crewdson, who co-wrote and produced a lot of 'Scarred', my solo record. I'm hoping to have some of those up available by summer. Ashes Divide is out, which is Billy Howerdel's (A Perfect Circle's) new band, and I worked on some of those songs with Billy, it was great. it's really solid, beautiful music. I sang with Wes (Borland) on the Black Light Burns record.

Is there a tour in the near future?
-I'll start doing some shows late spring, early summer...have been talking about germany and france, and I'll do a few local shows, but I need to concentrate on recording and writing for awhile, also more video, hopefully flamenco later in the spring. my teacher and some of my class are going to new mexico to study for a week, I think, and I'm hoping to do that. I've been studying flamenco for a long time. I feel like a need some time to upgrade the live set, rotate some songs, instrumentation, etc. it's a cycle.

Are you approachable as an artist or do you prefer fans admire from afar?
I ask because you come across as a very down to earth person that anyone can become friends with, however the constant attention from strangers must get old very fast and even the most amiable person must have to draw the line somewhere.
-indeed. I'm fortunate that people who like what I do are for the most part much more intelligent than that, you know, they're very respectful, and it's nice to hear someone likes your work, but then the more people ask of your time the less one has for what one should be doing. I love seeing people on the road, but I couldn't create if I didn't have a lot of time alone. I'm not the kind of artist who draws that kind of attention, really, but like I said, I'm much better at owning my space these days. The majority of the people on the planet have no idea what I do, who I am or care.

How long do you see yourself performing?
-well, in some way, shape or form, until I can't. Not necessarily because I want to, but because I worry that the day I can't is the day I'll regret not having done it more when I could. I don't necessarily see myself swinging a bass around or screaming over an amp, but I do like to play, I've done it all my life. it re-aligns my DNA. I do enjoy it when I hear things come out right, when the music is played the way I hear it in my head. that is a rush like no other. A minute ago, there was nothing, now there's a song, now there's music. That's pretty amazing to be able to make happen.

What do you find yourself doing more these days? Art or music, or have you
found a happy balance between the two?
-I've been really pleased lately with the balance. I work outside, and out here I live very much by the weather, as does everyone. it's getting nice out and I'm up as early as I can working outside, and at night work on music. in the winter I tend to record more because I can't go out. in the spring and summer
I do a lot of sanding and painting and soldering and sawing on the porch. I'll listen to loops of whatever music I'm working on at the time and just listen as I work, I just sing along, and when it gets hot in the afternoon come in and work on music for awhile..
I write a lot that way. somehow it helps to use my hands on something else entirely, it frees up my mind.

Is your art work for sale anywhere?
-there is a piece in a show called Art Now in Brooklyn at the end of the month, the link is www.romanoart.com, I believe. I'm working on the Lucky Nun myspace gallery, posting things up there, and will be part of a group show later in the spring in Arizona at the Victoria Boyce gallery. I would like to have a solo show in the fall, in October, possibly. I don't know where yet, I would like it to be up here in the desert.

One final question, because this is being posted on a role playing game
site, our players will want to know. If they came across you in the game
Bloodletting, which character type would you be? Vampire, Slayer, Werewolf, Witch, or Angel?
-oh I would like to think angel! of course. Ha.

Day six but really day one.

Ok, so I have been on my quest of doing at least one good deed a day for 365 days for six days so far, although this is day one of my new blog here.  My other blog will continue to be published to bloodletting.org but I plan on using the power of Google to expand my blog to a wider audience.

So let's catch up on a few things.  I believe I last blogged on Thursday 12 August 2010. Since then I have added to my list, Establishing a donation link on www.bloodletting.org for folks to donate to Payton Gripp . On Saturday and Sunday I treated my wife who is suffering from extreme back pain due to a rash of issues to a stress free weekend at the  Sandestin Resort and Golf Course. Tonight we are planning on hitting up the free Lynyrd Skynyrd concert on Okaloosa Island.

For today's good deed, I am going to randomly choose someone on my FaceBook friend's list, and compliment them in some way.

Everyone knows I dig big boobies, so welcome to my world.

Funny T-shirt of the day!
